Tankbustaz

"'Ere ta blow stuff up!"

Tankbustaz are those Orks fortunate enough to have survived battles against large vehicles and lived to tell the tale. They have developed a great love for all things blasty, and get no greater joy than that received from blowing stuff up. They've learned to find the "weak spots" of most vehicles and therefore can use their heavy weaponry to greater effect. Small squads of Tankbustaz work among the larger squads of Boyz to hunt down enemy vehicles or buildings.

Charge Bonus: once within 7 range of their target when on Assault stance, Tankbustaz gain a +30% movement bonus to their current base speed, enabling them to quickly close the distance with other units into melee.

Note that Da Boyz Hut has a 20% production bonus, giving Tankbustaz a build time of 19.2 s.

Tactics

Tankbustaz are the only infiltrated unit that fulfill an anti-vehicle role, with the exception of upgraded Tau Stealth Suits, who are very fragile. Note that Tankbustaz do good damage against vehicles in both ranged and melee combat. Choose ranged combat if the enemy has detectors or your army is too big to fully engage the enemy in melee. Choose melee when you want to trap or at least slow the progress of the enemy vehicle. Additionally, choose melee when confronted with vehicle high armor, as Stikk Bombs do nearly twice as much damage per second as Rokkit Launchas.

While anti vehicle is their primary role, Tankbustaz make fantastic support for Shoota Boy Squads. Their Rokkit Launchas do a respectable amount of knockdown and have a moderately fast reload time. This disruption can allows Shoota Boy Squads to clear the field of troublesome infantry such as Imperial Guard firing lines, or lines of Space Marines equipped with Heavy Bolters and Plasma Guns.
