Davian Thule

"The Greater Good is coming to you from my bolter, alien!"

Ancient Relics that could provide insight into the mysterious origins of the Blood Ravens Chapter have been discovered on the planet Kronus. Davian Thule has been ordered to lead elements of the First, Second and Fourth Companies of the Blood Ravens in a purge of the world to secure the secrets that these Relics could reveal. Vile aliens, foul heretics, and - should they refuse to abandon the planet - even Imperial Guard troops, must all be exterminated to preserve the integrity of the chapter. The purge must be complete.

Tactics

Davian Thule can be used much like a regular Force Commander, though he is slightly weaker initially. He becomes significantly more powerful and durable after receiving all his wargear. His Battlecry and Inspiring Aura abilities provide a boost to the fighting ability of nearby Marines and he is himself an impressive fighter. Unfortunately, Davian does not receive wargear that makes him a detector and so a Space Marine player must rely on Librarians and Skull Probes to detect infiltrated units.

Davian can be attached to squads like a regular Force Commander, but his honour guard consists of individual 'veteran' units so he must instead attach to standard squads. Grey Knights and Assault Terminators best complement his melee ability.

Effects The Force Commander calls down a barrage from the orbiting Battle Barge. For 30 seconds, units in the area are hit up to 16 times with Orbital Bombardment. Orbital Bombardment has a 3.5 s setup time. Note that the initial shot does full damage to monster high, vehicle medium, and vehicle high, but all subsequent shots do 25% damage.
